Slow Fashion Movement and You

What is Slow Fashion

Slow Fashion Movement

According to Wikipedia, the slow movement (sometimes capitalised Slow movement or Slow Movement) advocates a cultural shift toward slowing down life's pace. It began with Carlo Petrini's protest against the opening of a McDonald's restaurant in Piazza di Spagna, Rome in 1986 that sparked the creation of the slow food movement.

A Bohemian Approach - Kashmir Embroidery Motifs

A Bohemian Approach - Kashmir Embroidery Motifs

I remember this fabric from this post on Tumblr from 2013, which I reblogged on our Tumblr. In the post I mentioned that I found something similar in the market and that I will post the pictures once I make something interesting using that fabric. Here is the fabric that I found on Tumblr and started searching for the original source for this picture. I couldn't find a source page for this picture and at this point I am sure that it is a vintage piece. Since I am not sure about the origin, based on the pattern, I can guess it was made in Kashmir.

New Arrivals Silk Pouches

For last couple of days, we've been working on these beautiful raw silk pouches. The process started with sourcing some stunning zip pullers. To give these pouches an Indian touch, we walked on the streets of very busy 'Chandani Chowk' in New Delhi - the capital of India. We found some very lovely handmade zip pullers, made by artisans of Rajasthan.
